The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the umbrella organization for all student clubs at the University of San Diego. The SBA also serves as the student voice before the faculty and administration. The executive board is composed of the President, Vice-president, Evening Vice-president, Treasurer, and Secretary. These positions are filled through a general election process held each spring.

The SBA budget is amassed by an activity fee assessed to all USD law students. This budget provides funds for student clubs such as the Environmental Law Society, LRAP, Vis Moot Team, Black Law Students Association, Business Law Society, and many more. Each SBA-funded club has membership available to all students and participation therein is encouraged and highly rewarding.

The 2009-2010 SBA Executive Board is committed to making club participation as easy as possible. This website (www.sbaUSD.com) exists to assist clubs in scheduling events and communicating those events to the student body.

The SBA hosts many events which are paramount to law school survival such as the Annual Halloween Party, the Barristers Ball, and bi-weekly Bar Reviews. The SBA also works to create more professional networking opportunities for students through programs like the Alumni-Interactive Program. This year, the SBA launched an on-campus book-exchange, which has already saved USD students thousands of dollars.

Your Executive Board:

President, Jason N. Marsh: Jason is both the President of the School of Law's Student Bar Association (SBA) as well as Chair of the Graduate Student Council (GSC) for USD. At the School of Law, Jason has distinguished himself on the National Mock Trial Team since his 2nd year at USD, and as a 1L Representative developed a helpful 1L Blog for all incoming 1L's to review.

Vice President, Bora Song: Bora is a distinguished leader on the Law School campus who is also coordinating the 2009 Orientation.

Vice President, Elizabeth Noakes: Elizabeth, a rising 2L, seeks to improve representation for Evening and Flex-Class students at the School of Law, and also is coordinating the 2009 Mentor-Mentee Program.

Secretary, Nicholas J. Fox: Nick is your primary contact on all matters SBA, and also brings a wealth of experience in parliamentary procedure. His knowledge of Robert's Rules helps to steer SBA General Meetings.

Treasurer, Lucas A. Woodward: Known as "Woody" to friends, Mr. Woodward chairs the Budget Committee and is the appropriate contact for all budgtary concerns.
